To allow a domain user to access Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) in Plesk, you’ll need to configure both Plesk and your Windows Server to enable RDP access for the specific domain user. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
1. Ensure RDP Access on the Server
First, confirm that Remote Desktop is enabled on your Windows server:
- Open the Server Manager.
- Go to Local Server and look for the Remote Desktop section.
- Ensure that Remote Desktop is enabled.
If it is not:
- Click on the Disabled link, and enable Remote Desktop from the settings.
- Ensure that the firewall allows incoming RDP connections (TCP port 3389).
These directions apply only to Plesk on Windows.
On a Plesk server, the process to provide RDP access to a domain user is found in the Web Hosting Access section for each domain.
- Go to the domain for which you want to provide the user RDP access.
- Click on Hosting & DNS.
