Here&#8217;s a general guide on how you can allow specific IP addresses using Host Access Control<\/p>\n<p>Host Access Control will allows you to allow or deny access to your server and services by set up a specific rules on it based on the IP address that is attempting to connect.<\/p>\n<p>This tool is used to preventing access of third party other than the client.<\/p>\n<p>Here we can manage which or particular IP address only allow to access all the services and other than is denyed.<\/p>\n<p>Use the Host Access Control interface to allow or deny clients&#8217; access, based on their IP addresses, to the following services:<\/p>\n<p>cPanel (cpaneld)&#8212;&#8211;control panel for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.squarebrothers.com\/web-hosting-india\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hosting<\/a> account<\/p>\n<p>WHM (whostmgrd)&#8212;&#8212;web host manager(manages the server)<\/p>\n<p>Webmail (webmaild)&#8212; webmail services<\/p>\n<p>Web Disk (cpdavd)&#8212;&#8211;web disk in cpanel<\/p>\n<p>FTP (ftpd)&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;FTP services(File transfe Protcoll)<\/p>\n<p>SSH (sshd)&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;SSH(secure Remote access)<\/p>\n<p>And also mail configuration settings<\/p>\n<p>MTP (smtp)<br \/>\nPOP3 (pop3)<br \/>\nIMAP (imap)<\/p>\n<h4><strong>How to set Allow or deny access for an IP address in Host access control:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>To allow an IP address to access a service, follow the simple steps:<\/p>\n<p>1.Enter the service name in the daemon text box.(e.g)cpanel or WHM or Webmail or FTP like that\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0we have to choose any one.<\/p>\n<p>2.After next column Enter the IP address or hostname in Access List text box. (Mention the IP<\/p>\n<p>address)<\/p>\n<p>3.You may enter wildcards in this text box.You cannot enter a range of IP addresses with CIDR<\/p>\n<p>notation.<\/p>\n<p>That is the notation has been constructed from the IP address contains a slash (&#8220;\/&#8221;) character<\/p>\n<p>and decimal number.<\/p>\n<p>4. To specify a network range, add a network mask to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.249host.com\/dedicated-servers-india\/\">IP address.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>5. Enter the desired action in the Action text box.
